What is Qualytics Compare?

Qualytics Compare ensures consistency between two data stores. Utilizing enhanced profiling data, Compare highlights not just schema differences, but underlying data quality problems within two equivalent data stores.

Typically used for data migration efforts along with QA and Business Continuity efforts, Compare replaces your manual QA efforts for data equivalence.

How does it work?

STEP 1

Connect to Source and Target

Compare starts with connecting to your source and target data stores. Using JDBC or distributed file systems, Compare establishes a persistent connection to the two.

STEP 2

Profile

Encapsulated within projects, Compare enables users to keep track of separate comparison runs, visualizing burndown charts that include passing, missing or failing tables over time.

STEP 3

Compare

The deep profile metadata enables Compare to evaluate, regardless of schema differences, the equivalency of the two data stores. The comparison results include data quality fundamentals such as completeness, conformity, consistency, accuracy and redundancy.

How do we qualify your data?

The Qualytics 8

Qualytics uses these 8 fundamental categories to assess data quality.

Completeness
availability of required data attributes
Coverage
availability of required data records
Conformity
alignment of content with required standards & schemas
Consistency
how well the data complies with required formats / definitions
Duplication
redundancy of records and/or attributes
}}
Timeliness
currency of content representation as well as whether data is available / can be used when needed
Volumetrics
volume data per row / column / client / entity over time
Accuracy
relationship of the content with original intent
